  1. Invisible Man

OK, I cop to being inspired by the Beatles Nowhere Man when I was a kid. It’s in our DNA, our evolutionary deep design, to be accepted by and integral to the tribe. I’m also inspired by Buddhist meditation – sit alone but feel deeply interconnected to all beings. Then even better, wish them all well, have a smile for a stranger.

Lyrics

You send out a message - You get no reply
Just a smiley face - But emojis can lie
World moving fast - Heart moving slow
You can’t seem to start - Or make anything go

Invisible man
You don't think that you can
Find the touch of a hand - to hold
No, that wasn't the plan
Can anyone hear?
Is anyone near?

What passes for news - Doesn’t make sense at all
It’s keeping you down - When you need to stand tall
Trash your device - Give someone time
Hearing their stories - Touching your mind

Invisible man
You don’t think that you can
Find the touch of a hand - to hold
Alone in a crowd
You need someone to say Hey, I can see you, can see you, can see you…
And it’s OK, oh yeah

Oh no Invisible Man, Don’t be invisible man (2x)

Man in a jail - The walls are your own
Made out of fear - Not mortar or stone
In cells all around - There are more just like you
Reach thru the wall - Your hand goes right thru

Invisible man
You don’t know that you can
Find the touch of a hand - to hold
Alone in a crowd
You need someone to say
Hey, I can see you, can see you, can see you…
And it’s OK, oh yeah
Invisible man
Here is my hand
The world barrels on, barrels on...
But I can see you, oh yeah
I can hear you, oh yeah
